TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment – Payment by account customers shall be made by the end of the month following that in which the goods are invoiced or otherwise stated by us on the invoice. If payment remains unpaid by the time it is due, we reserve the right to charge interest at 4% over the current UK base rate. Payment can be made by cheque or BACS.
Risk and Title – Notwithstanding the delivery of the goods, the goods shall remain the sole and absolute property of E Alexander & Sons Ltd as legal and equitable owner until such time as the customer shall have paid to us the agreed price in full. The customer shall ensure that all goods which are in the possession or control of the customer, the ownership of which remains with us are stored or marked so that they may be readily identifiable as belonging to us and we may for the purpose of recovery of our goods, enter upon any premises where they are reasonably thought to be stored and may repossess the same or any other goods to the value. The customer acknowledges that he is in possession of the goods solely as a fiduciary for us until payment to us for the said goods and in the event the customer sells the goods to a third party, then and in such event, the entire proceeds of the sale are to be held in trust for us and shall not be mingled with other monies or be paid into any overdrawn bank account and shall be at all times identifiable as our monies.
Returns and Shortages – Claims for shortages must be made to the company and the despatch company within five working days. Credits for goods returned which are not faulty are at the company’s discretion.
Postage and VAT – Postage, packing, insurance and VAT will be charged where applicable. Customers from EC countries other than the UK must supply a VAT number otherwise VAT will be charged at the prevailing UK rate.
No Cancellation Policy – Orders cannot be cancelled once placed, in the absence of any major breach on our part.
UK Law – This contract is governed by UK Law and jurisdiction and any matters arising will be dealt with in UK courts.
CMJ – Customer who pay via The Company of Master Jewellers are responsible for the funds to reach us through the CMJ Head Office. Failure of payment by CMJ Head Office will result in the customer settling the account directly to E Alexander & Sons Ltd within agreed terms.
